Rental Terms

TERMS AND CONDITION OF RENTAL AGREEMENT:

1: AGE & LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: The driver must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 1 year from the date of vehicle rental

2: PAYMENT METHOD: Payment can be made by credit card, which must be valid and in the name of the renter. Alternatively, payment may be made in cash under certain conditions, provided a corresponding deposit amount is given.

! Accepted Cards: VISA / MASTERCARD / AMERICAN EXPRESS.

!!Electronic cards marked “electronic use only” are not accepted.

3: CHARGES: The basic charge covers a period of 1 day (24 hours from the moment the car is picked up) and includes:

  • 24-hour roadside assistance
  • Third-party liability insurance
  • VAT 24%

4: DELIVERY & PICKUP OUTSIDE BUSINESS HOURS: If the renter wishes to return or pick up a vehicle outside Tsimplis Rentals’ business hours, an additional charge of €15 will apply to the final price.

5: OFF-SITE DELIVERY OR RETURN: If the client wishes to have the car delivered or returned outside Tsimplis Rentals’ facilities, additional charges will apply:

  • Within Kyparissia: FREE
  • Outside Kyparissia: +€1.50/km added to the final price

6: EARLY VEHICLE RETURN: If the renter returns the vehicle of Tsimplis Rentals before the agreed-upon date and time stated in the rental agreement, no refund will be issued.

7: LATE VEHICLE RETURN: Rental prices are based on the number of days selected by the renter. Tsimplis Rentals provides a 1-hour grace period for vehicle return. If this limit is exceeded, the renter will be charged for an additional day.

8: FUEL POLICY: The vehicle must be returned on the agreed-upon date and time, with the same fuel level as when it was picked up, as indicated in the rental agreement. If the vehicle is returned with more fuel, Tsimplis Rentals will not refund the difference. If the fuel level is lower, the renter is obligated to pay the difference.

9: ADDITIONAL DRIVER: The charge for each additional driver is €5/day.

10: CHILD SEAT: The charge for a child seat is €5/day. In case of damage or loss, the renter will be charged €150.

11: NAVIGATION SYSTEM - GPS: The charge for GPS is €7/day. In case of damage or loss, the renter will be charged €100.

12: SNOW CHAINS: The charge for snow chains is €3/day. In case of damage or loss, the renter will be charged €50.

13: VEHICLE USE: The lessee agrees:

  • Not to drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Not to allow unauthorized persons to drive the vehicle.
  • Not to use the vehicle for races, paid transport, or any traffic violations.
  • Not to abandon the vehicle.

14: SECURITY DEPOSIT:The lessee pays a security deposit, which is refunded within 10 days after the return of the vehicle, provided there are no damages or violations.

15: CABLES & PHONE HOLDERS: Tsimplis Rentals provides three types of audio transfer cables and one phone holder with the car rental, free of charge. In case of damage or loss, the renter will be charged €10 per cable and €20 for the phone holder.

16: RENTAL OUTSIDE BORDERS: Transporting Tsimplis Rentals’ vehicles outside Greek borders is prohibited.

17: TRANSPORT BY SHIP: Allowed only with prior written approval from Tsimplis Rentals. Any damages incurred to the rental vehicle during transport are not covered by insurance.

18: FINES & VIOLATIONS: All fines due to administrative penalties resulting from the driver’s fault are the sole responsibility of the renter.

19: INSURANCE: All drivers authorized by Tsimplis Rentals are covered for vehicle damage due to fire and are insured with third-party liability for death, bodily injury, and property damage.

20: COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE / SUPER COVER (SC): All Tsimplis Rentals vehicles come with comprehensive insurance with a €500 deductible οr 750€. By signing this agreement, the renter agrees to pay the deductible amount (€500/750€) in case of any damage to the vehicle.

21: ACCIDENTS: In the event of an accident, the renter must call the appropriate authorities to document the accident and any medical personnel if injuries occur. If the renter leaves the scene without completing the necessary steps (documenting the incident, taking photos, etc.) or is found under the influence of alcohol or drugs, they are fully liable to compensate.

Tsimplis Rentals for any damages to the vehicle and any third-party claims.

In the event of an accident where the renter is at fault, a €30 administration fee will apply for accident file processing.
